Make Your Own Scrunchies My Mom's Way
Переглядів 1876 років тому
My mom had made scrunchies for me in the 90's and I'm so glad they are back in style. Now I am making them the same way she made them all those years ago, except she never used a bubble tea straw. LOL. Materials: - 4 inches by 20 inches fabric. I like cotton. - elastic 19 inches by at least 1/4 inches. - pinking shears - straw - I like using a bubble tea straw - craft pipe cleaner - seam ripper...
Halloween Treat Bags DIY
Переглядів 1,4 тис.6 років тому
I made Halloween treat bags for my daughter's Grade 1/2 class. They aren't scary but are cute. Because I used scrapbooking paper, rubber stamps and adhesives that I already owned, I was able to keep the cost down. Including taxes and converting US to Canadian dollars I was able to cost out each bag of fun to about $4. The bendable toy was 75 cents, pencil stamp topper was 70 cents, play doh was...

I did my haul vid as a slideshow to make things ...

Furnish your craftroom for Free or Really Cheap
Переглядів 4577 років тому
I recently cleaned up my craftroom and thought I would do a tour video. However, when I looked around the craftroom, I realized I spent $20 dollars to completely furnish it. Here is a video that shows my eight sources for furnishing my craftroom. None of my furniture come from any on-line sites. So, none of my sources are from on-line either. I hope you pick up a couple of tips. Hugs from Celin...

Make 2 Notecard Holders in 5 min from 1 piece of 12 X 12 cardstock
Переглядів 6 тис.7 років тому
I needed to make a few holders, folios or folders for cards that I purchased from Hobby Lobby. Each box has 50 cards. I wanted a folder that would hold 8 A2 sized cards. I came up with the idea of making two easy holders from 1 sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock that I can whip up in 5 minutes. At the same time, I have lots of 8 1/2 by 11 cardstock. I adapted Amber's tutorial, from lyriclover810, for m...

Pinwheel Card Tutorial and New Features
Переглядів 9157 років тому
After making a pinwheel card, I thought there had to be a way to update the design. In this video, I came up with a couple of ideas and a mini tutorial. For a standard pinwheel, you need two squares of cardstock measuring 2 5/8 inches as well as eight squares of decorative paper measuring 1 1/4 inches. For the mini pinwheel, you will need two squares of cardstock measuring 1 3/8 and eight small...

    Thank you so much for this informative tutorial! I'm going to go find some Brilliance. * edit: I tried Brilliance today & the stamped/heat set fabric impression came through the wash sharper & clearer than the other two permanent pigment ink brands I've been using. Thanks for the tutorial.

    I had two thoughts after watching this.. first was about whether or not they're still sterile. And second, why not use a spray fabric glue? Just a very light spritz and it's evenly coated, not gloppy and the fabric sticks right on.

    • @RaincityCreativity
      @RaincityCreativity 4 роки тому

      Good thoughts definitely. I always wash my hands before I use antiseptic on the cut and then apply the bandage. This keeps the cut clean. Regarding the fabric glue, I'm afraid the adhesive is not strong. The fabric part peels off. Thanks for your comment and for watching.

    Thank you... I may have known this 20 years ago when I did more stamping but I can’t retain all the information. I actually have several of those small brilliance inks. Now to find out if I can stamp on shrink dink’s and color them on the textured side with colored pencils. Either than or stamp and scan using my brother scan n cut to draw the scanned image with a sharpie.

    I am curious, is the Briliance ink waterproof?

    • @RaincityCreativity
      @RaincityCreativity 4 роки тому

      After the Brilliance ink is "set" on the fabric, it is washable. and your image won't fade. I wouldn't say it is waterproof.

    How much would u sell these a a craft fair

    • @RaincityCreativity
      @RaincityCreativity 6 років тому

      It depends on the type of people that attend the craft fair. I would sell these at a craft fair in the suburbs so I would sell them for about $5 each. However, if I attended a craft fair in the city, I would go higher at $8. Thanks for the question C

      I tried to get the most mellow song the band allowed me to use. It's hard to find royalty free music that isn't elevator-ish. The more you listen to it, the more palatable it becomes...like Buckley's cough syrup. Thanks for commenting Dot C

    Thank you! I do have a list, but I think it only allows 20 stores? That’s what I have, but I’ve shopped in so many... I’m not sure how to make them my favorites? I follow a lot of them, so I’m assuming I would need to maybe unfollow all of them, then try again with the ones I like the best? Do u mind me asking what are urs? I have a bunch that are pretty cheap, then some that are great because of size. Thanks love this place, it’s addicting, I’ve probably spent over a $1000.00 since September!!😳❤️😀

      Elizabeth Eddy Are you asking how to find your favorite stores list? If so, go to your Account on the app., look for “My Favorites” on the left side and click on it, then on the top right it will show “Wish List” and “Favorite Stores”. Click on Favorite Stores and a list will show of your favorite Stores. Click on the one you want to go to.
